Dr. Ansari has an academic as well as practical background.
He was appointed as a Supervisor of a Postgraduate Program for Family Medicine.
Then He was appointed as the Director General of School Health, Ministry of Education for 10 years.
Then he was an Assistant Professor in Family and Community Medicine in King Saud Univ. for Health Sciences (KFM Campus) and as Dean of Al Ghad Health Sciences College.
Dr Ansari is an advocate in Health Promotion and combating NCDs in the Arab, Gulf States and Saudi Arabia since more than 28 years. He wrote 2 books (in Arabic) on walking, wrote and translated more than 200 articles on walking, nutrition, health promotion and dealing with NCDs.
Since the start Dr. Ansari looks at NCDs as a complex metabolic derangement that is hitting Saudi Arabia, Gulf, and Arab Region as fast developing countries that changed its lifestyle into a sedentary style, and depended on processed food and high carbohydrate.
Dr. Ansari is active on social media (X.com, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, Keek, Snapchat, and Facebook) to promote walking regularly and motivate the Arab speaking communities to readdress NCDs as lifestyle related health problem.
He gives a great emphasis on wholistic approach in dealing with NCDs for both individuals and the public.
He documented and published more than 70 stories of remission of different NCD cases through intermittent fasting, low carb, sleep, walking regularly, and related lifestyle changes.
